Here’s a ‘seasonal’ one for you from Rejects and Misfits.

Oh no, not again
I sit at my piano and try to stop weeping
It’s Christmas again
The trees are all up and the tinsel is twinkling
But I see children out there who have never known Santa
And breathe fear as they pray to their god that their lives will get better

Let’s all get drunk
I need a whisky to remind me I’m living
Drowned in plastic junk
And they say that the joy is all in the giving
But I see children out there who have never known Santa
And breathe fear as they pray to their god that their lives will get better

Give me my presents, the bigger the better
Moan to your kids it’s the wrong kind of weather
Spend too much money, I know you’ll feel better
Tell me your news in a round robin letter

Oh no, not again
I’ve decked the halls and I’ve killed all the holly
It’s Christmas again
I’m tired of being told it’s a time to be jolly
When I see children out there who have never known Santa
And breathe fear as they pray to their god that their lives will get better

Let’s all get drunk
I pour a whisky but the bottle is empty
Drowned in plastic junk
An obscene display in a world that has plenty
When I see children out there who have never known Santa
And breathe fear as they pray to their god that their lives will get better
